During the intensive discussions Dr.-Ing. Yannick Brand emphasized the contribution that start-ups can make to drive innovation in the defence sector. The innovative power of small, agile companies is particularly important in this field and HAT.tec GmbH – emerged as a spin-off of the Institute of Flight Systems (IFS-FMFF) at the Universität der Bundeswehr München – is especially proud of being a part of the dual-use technology landscape.
The #MunichSecurityBreakfast last week marked the beginning of this year’s Munich Security Conference. In attendance were approximately 240 guests from the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces), NATO, start-ups, investors, research and representatives from the security and defence industry.
