Munich / Neubiberg, 22 June 2026
HAT.tec, a leading software company for platform-independent mission management of military and security-related operations based in Neubiberg near Munich, announces the integration of its mission software SCALE into helicopters operated by the Bavarian Police.

SCALE supports operations by consolidating information from various sensors and platforms onto a single user interface, thereby creating a single common operating picture. This reduces operators’ workload, allowing them to concentrate on mission-critical decisions.

SCALE is deployed in new Airbus H145 helicopters, which the manufacturer has been delivering to the Bavarian State Police in stages since 2023. The integration of SCALE into the new H145 helicopters is based on the successful collaboration between the industrial partners Airbus Helicopters, HAT.tec, Helsing and the Bavarian Police Helicopter Squadron (Polizeihubschrauberstaffel Bayern, PHuStBy). A newly developed Airbus Helicopters solution enables SCALE to be integrated onto a 17-inch monitor directly in the cockpit.

The final handover of a total of eight helicopters to the Bavarian Police takes place during an event on 22 June 2026 at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth. Representatives of the Bavarian Police, selected partner companies, as well as Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder and other representatives of the Bavarian State Government will attend. HAT.tec will be represented by its Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Fabian Schmitt, PhD, along with other team members.

“The integration of SCALE into the Bavarian Police’s new H145 fleet confirms the confidence government institutions have in our technology,” says Fabian Schmitt, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of HAT.tec. “It also underlines our commitment to contributing our long-standing expertise and software capabilities to national and European security.”
